Nottoway Work Center is separately listed by VADOC at the Burkeville campus. Its name can cause a false inference: placement at a work center is still state correctional custody. Nottoway Work Center Dates
The locator’s Release Date is not a fixed promise. VADOC computations can depend on active sentence length, pretrial confinement credit, concurrent or consecutive terms, offense dates, Good Conduct Allowance or Earned Sentence Credits, conduct class, discipline, amended court orders, and holds. Nottoway Work Center Supervision
If the locator changes from the work center to a probation or parole district, read that as a possible transition into supervised community status. Probation is imposed by a court.
